Congratualtions, Kaity. I’ve only been writing on here for the past year+, but it’s been a blast, so I can imagine how big a part of your life this blog has been. I mean not gigantically huge, but I know that for me at least, I can’t imagine what the past year-and-a-half would have been like without it.

I’m over on the East coast, so I don’t really keep up with the Padres, but how is their bullpen this year? I remember a few years ago they were the best back end of a bullpen in baseball.

Thank you for catching that. But, as a fun fact, when he got into the majors, his name was Julio Reyes. Then it was revealed that his real name was Edison Volquez when they were cracking down on immigration. Then he realized that the name on his birth certificate was Edinson. So he was in the majors for quite a while under the name “Edison.”

Aww man, that sounds awesome. It just makes me that much more disappointed that neither of the New York teams have a Fan Fest. The Mets in particular could really use one going into this next season.
