Why Do the Padres Hate Me?

Hey peoples, this is Kaybee’s weird sister. Today, I am going to tell you all about my experiences with the Padres.

I don’t remember my first Padres game very well. I think it was in 2006 and we were in left upper reserved, and for some reason i acted as if i really enjoyed the game even though i hated baseball at the time ( maybe it was the huge tub of popcorn and large lemonade :D ).
Then, in 2007 I like completely fell in love with baseball and with the Padres. I listened to almost every single game, loved to talk about them (almost as much as my sister does now), and spent hours on their website. When the 2008 season started I was even more excited then I was the year before. But then…you all know what happened. We starting losing. HORRIBLY. And to make me hate them ever more this year, they traded every single one of my favorite players. Not even kidding. Let’s start with Marcus Giles.

Marcus was soooo amazing!! I know he wasn’t doing that great last year, but I loved him and another reason I forsook the Padres was because they traded him. And quick question peoples?? What’s up with him anyways? I can’t find any recent stats or anything.
As if that wasn’t enough, they traded they traded Khalil!!!!!! And Trevor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Cla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Hiram Bocachica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Josh Bard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe that’s why I hate MLB. Trading. So evil.
Now don’t get me wrong, I still love baseball. I love going to Petco, I love playing catch with my sister, I’m planning to play softball next year, and baseball is my favorite sport! But the Padres stink, so maybe I’ll hang out with the Orioles for a while. Talk to you tomorrow!

Hey, Kaybee’s sister! I’m sorry about the trades–I know how you feel. My favorite player, Luke Scott, was traded to the Orioles as well. Maybe we should be Orioles fans together!

Yeah, Marcus was great for us back in 2007. I’m sorry that the Padres released Cla and Marcus. I MISS KHALIL!! :( He still is my favorite shortstop. Trading away our favorite players is absolutely heartbreaking. I don’t want anymore of this.

Hi Kaybee’s Sister!
I know you are upset with all the trades going on lately, but the thing is, sometimes you have to give up someone to get someone. The Padres are just trying to get better. It may not seem like it, but they ARE trying to get better. GO PADRES!!!!!

Hi Kaybee’s sis
I know how you feel because I hate trades. One season it seemed that everyone was gone even the manager. It was sick. I was sick. Come back and watch again.

Trades can really make you hate a team, I agree. You love a player, then the team decides to move him somewhere else and you are stuck with the bobbleheads and t-shirts that are suddenly antique. Sad. I hope you don’t move Gonzo or Bell. I read some things around the web…

I would say thanks for the comment but I think it might have been your sister :] hehe, but thanks anyway! I love your entry, it’s very well written and made me chuckle. I used to live in Portland, OR and I used to go watch the Beavers all the time (your triple-A team but you already knew that). You guys have some good prospects! xoxo http://diamondgirl55.mlblogs.com

Hey, Kaybee’s sister. Nice to “meet” you. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Padres.

Yeah, trades are horrible, especially when the players are some of the best on the team.
And softball is totally fun. You should play, definitely. :)
