No Words

The Padres have done some really really stupid stuff this year, but this just takes the cake. I didn’t find out until this morning, and boy you do not want to know how upset I am. I haven’t been this close to crying over a game since last year. I have no idea why I’m even wearing my Padres jersey right now. I am this close to throwing in the towel on my fanhood of this HOPELESS team!!! I can’t believe I went into public this morning supporting the Padres!! I am sooooo close to throwing in the towel and pretending that I was never a fan of this pathetic team. (well, not really, but at least for a day)

Bad enough that they’re on a what, six game losing streak??? But to top it all off, getting no-hit. It just drives me nuts. I’m literally sick to the stomach right now. Let’s just hope I don’t throw up all over the computer. I have no idea what to say about this team, except that they’ve brought it on themselves. They are the ones who are super pathetic!! They are the ones who lose like crazy. They are the ones who are driving their fans out of the stadium. I hate to say it, but there has to be some major changes, NOW. I’m not going to support this pathetic baseball for another whole half. I just can’t. Sure, I’d keep writing about them, but I can’t enjoy baseball like this. I just can’t!!

This team is getting a lot of publicity lately, and boy is it a bad kind!! This was the first no-hitter of the year in baseball, I think, so the Padres are going to be talked about in an unfavorable light for years to come. And you know what, they deserve it. If Sanchez had to throw a no-hitter against any team, it would have to be the Padres. Because they are the most pathetic team in baseball. I don’t care if about any other team who had a worse record than us. Because this is the worst team in baseball, and they should be a laughing stock. Maybe it will wake them up a little.

“When is Chargers season starting?” I hate that question, because San Diego mutters it every year when the Padres are going this bad. When can we drown out our miseries in football?

I know that next Saturday’s game is going to be pretty full, but you know what? There are not going to be many fans at Thursday and Friday’s games. This team has disgraced its fans, its city, and themselves.

I am so mad at this team. I got a free trial of MLB.TV, and it starts tonight, so I’m going to be watching this game tonight. I don’t know if I really want to though. Maybe I’ll just watch the Red Sox game.

I am ashamed of my team. You can’t blame the fans for wanting to step back for a bit, even the die-hards.

But of course, GO PADRES!!

GO RED SOX!!!!

Kaybee -while we would welcome you with open-arms into Red Sox Nation – don’t give up on your guys just yet! Keep the faith – that is what we fans have to do – BECAUSE WE ARE FANS!!! I have lived through many bad years in Boston from all my teams and believe me – I know how hard it is. But don’t give up. It might take awhile – but better days are ahead! 🙂

This is so weird. I’m used to Padres and I’m greeted with Red Sox. Don’t give up on them. They may be playing like crap, but it’s part of the game. Remember 2007 when they were good? My Sox were atrocious that season. But it was kind of a rebuilding year for them because look what we did in 2008. And with all the stuff that’s been going on with your ownership lately, it’s gonna be harder on the team. While I fully support branching out and embracing other teams, don’t give up on your boys.

As I Rays fan, I have no IDEA what you are talking about! Being no-hit, massive losing streaks… LOL! Wow…yah, went through that for years… There is a light at the end of the tunnel…you have to believe! Don’t give up on them. I do, however, believe that Julia will hold onto a RSN membership card for you – just in case!

    Kaybee-
Do NOT Give up on the Padres. Please. What did you really expect this season anyways? A postseason birth? This team is in a rebuilding mode. We have 2 players that will be key to the future: Everth Cabrera and Tony Gwynn Jr. Maybe Adrian if he stays. So please, I’m not giving up on the Padres, and neither should you. So don’t give up, and keep the faith!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    GO PADRES!!!!!!!!!

    Ack, the red… it’s killing me…
That aside, it’s gonna be okay. The Padres need you! At that game I went to it was at least half Astros fans. Your boys need you, Kaybee! Kouz needs to hear you cheering for him all the way in your living room! Adrian needs somebody to recognize his talent.
I know how you feel about the no-hitter, sweetie. Do you remember September 12, 2009? A lot of people don’t, but I do because that’s when Hurricane Ike smacked into Houston. Galveston was destroyed (including many places I spent a lot of time at–I cried a few months ago when I finally saw video footage), my brand-new house sprung leaks, we were out of power for two weeks, and people lost their homes. But Drayton McLane was dumb and let the Astros play in Milwaukee, which is basically Chicago, for a “home” series. Cubs fans held up “we like Ike” signs (for which I will always hate each and every Cubs fan, regardless of their participation in the ridicule) and Carlos Zambrano no-hit a team that was busy worrying about their families and homes. When I got that newspaper a week later I drew all over his face in marker, but the Astros stood back up, said “this is crap,” and went on to finish third in the NL Central one game back of the wild card. Have faith!

You really sound upset. I’m sorry that you have to deal with this stuff, but you being upset only shows how much you love your team, right? That is honorable.

As a longtime Rays fan (just like Canuck) I can remember the days when all people would say–and this would be at the START of the baseball season–was “When do the Bucs get going” or “When does Gator football start?” Those were tough days. That is what makes last year such a dream.

That is also what will make Padres’ success in the future so memorable for you. Good times don’t feel so good without the bad times.

    Hang in there!

Thanks so much guys!! You are great. After a few hours of cooling off (not literally of course – it’s 80 degrees here!!), I feel better about my Padres. Not enough to go back to the Padres template though. If they play well tonight, then it’s going back up. But if they have another terrible game, I may just have to leave up the Red Sox all weekend. It is kind of bright though compared to that calm blue, though. Shows my firery temper haha!! And by the way, I’m still totally going to the game next week. Even if the Padres lose for the rest of the season, I am not going to turn down a night at the ballpark, especially with all the bloggers who are coming out!! I’ll be out there, cheering and KOOOZing and all that. It’s going to be a lot of fun, no matter what the score!! Go Red Sox!! oh, and Padres!! 🙂

  8. Kaybee

Well, the Red Sox are my second favorite team and they’re actually doing well, so they were the natural choice. It’s not like I was going to do the Dodgers or anything…now if I ever did that, you would know that I was REALLY serious about being done with the Padres!!

Dang girl! Hold on there. I know you are very, very upset (Obviously. You even changed the background :O Next thing that’s going to happen is me changing it to the Cardinals!) and it’s just so hard to watch our team suffering and sinking towards rock bottom. I missed so much baseball and I’m glad I did. When we go to our game, KOOOOZ all you want and it will make you feel better. Screw Chargers ’cause I hate football. Guess being die-hard Padres fan is tough. But please don’t turn down on our team 😦

Kaybee, this blog confused me. Don’t give up on your team!! They need you now. Last year the dodgers were struggling to be a .500 ball club. Everytime I went on the ITD blog, I would get pounded. But I got myself up and kept on. As you know they ended up winniing the Western division. You love your team.

I feel your pain Kaybee. I’m pretty upset over what may be an immenient Roy Halladay trade in Toronto. So upset, that I might support the team he plays for, along with him, for a temporary period. We will see what happens, but I’m pretty down on my team too! I’m surprised how strong you were when the Padres let go of Hoffman. We all have our fits of temporary resentment, so I know what you are going through. I would probably go through the same thing.

So…on the up side the Red Sox won today! 100 career wins for Beckett. 🙂
C’mon, Kaybee…If Raysfanboy and I didn’t give up on the Rays, I know you can’t and won’t give up on the Padres! ***hugs***

    Kaybee,
Always search for the light in the tunnel. I don’t mind some Dodger fans getting down sometimes on their team because I know they do it out of love and passion for their team. Let your team get some rest and see how they come back in the 2nd half. I remember the old days when the Padres had the Dodgers number. I have seen the Dodgers win two W.S. but the last one was 20 years ago.

Just like Canuck said, don’t give up on your team. If people can stay Rays fans and Pirates fans, then you can definitely remain a Pads fan.

Plus, you guys had a great win today. Just as things looked down your team gave you fans something to get happy about. 10 runs against the Giants should cure what ails ya. Get ready for a great second half!

Hey, you have to give some credit to Sanchez. You could at least say something like good job! He deserves it. Who cares if it is against your favorite team. That’s such a rare opportunity. Sanchez pitched a good game. I was glad to see him earn a no-hitter with his father watching him. That must have been very special!!!
